Echoes from My Headphones: A Taste of the Music I'm Listening to

This has a very similar sound to James Newton Howard's Hidalgo. It does, however, have a stronger sense of action. The two combined would make for an excellent The Horse and His Boy soundtrack.

Just saying.

  1. Just wondering, dear niece...how do you find these music pieces??

  2. Well, sometimes, like with this one, I've seen the movie and I've listened to the music that wayl. Sometimes I've read the book, like the Half-Blood Prince songs, and looked up the music on youtube.

Most frequently, however, I find the music through the composer. Harry Gregson-Williams, the man who composed this, did the soundtrack for Narnia. I regurlarly keep an eye on him, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, and Patrick Doyle. They're the staples of my library. :-)
